WAT WORACHANYAWAT

Formerly called Wat Bangkwang-lang, the temple was built in 1798, during the reign of King Rama II.

Thammas Bussabok:
The pulpit where the monks deliver sermons was made by Ayutthaya craftmen in King Rama Ill's reign. The finely carved Thammas is one of the three most beautiful ancient Thammas, and remains in good condition.

Ubosot: The main chapel's roof is covered with tiles, green at the outer rim and yellow at the inner rim. Decorating the roof are “Chorfa” finials and “Bairaka”. At the front and back pediments are Picture of the Hindu god Vishnu. The gilded stucco Buddha image is in the Subduing Mara posture. Its name is unknown. The two mondops in front of the ubosot house several Buddha images in different postures including Nak Prok, Buddha protected by a naga.
